Laurie Rousseau was born in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, received her B.F.A. At Kendall College of Art and Design in Grand Rapids, Michigan and her M.F.A. In Drawing at the University of Cincinnati, Ohio. She currently teaches art to children at Good Shepherd Montessori School and creates her work at Taylor Street Art Studio in South Bend, Indiana. Her focus is on figurative and botanical artwork using the mediums of drawing, printmaking, photocopies and collage. She is interested in the climate crisis, environmental toxins, and human connections.
