Mary Ann Roach Butkovich

 

Mary Ann Roach Butkovich graduated with a degree in art from Saint Mary’s College, Notre Dame, IN with further study at the Art Academy of Cincinnati and independent graduate study at the University of Cincinnati, Cincinnati, OH. She has participated in numerous solo and group shows.

Her work is included in numerous corporate and private collections including American Hospital Association, Chicago, IL, Dow Chemical Company, Granville, OH, Chubb and Sons, Cincinnati, OH, Deloitte Haskins and Sells, Cincinnati, OH, Marsh and McClellan, Cincinnati, OH and Rabobank, Chicago, IL. She is also the former co-owner of the Purple Giraffe Fine Art Gallery in Harbert, MI

Mary Ann paints vibrant abstract oil paintings and monotypes. Her inspiration comes from nature, music, dance and anything that jolts the creative process. Helen Frankenthaler, Paul Jenkins and Morris Louis are favorites, a real change from her favorite in high school, Maurice Utrillo.
